ConXL Weld Cell
I can't go into as much detail with this project due to it's proprietary nature.
In addition to the general wiring needed for the Weld Cell and its sensors, we needed a way to synchronously lower a beam into place, adjust both ends so that it can be set into the fixture, then once finished synchronously raise both ends.
This was done using two hydraulic cylinders and a PLC. The thing that makes this stand out as a project is the fact that no synchronous hydraulic lifting system exists on the market that is affordable. This project was put together for a fraction of anything that exists on the market.
In addition safety was a big concern. To create a safety zone Omron safety laser scanners were configured and supported by me.
